My Angry Bigot There is nothing that matches the feeling of sitting in an audience watching your child perform on stage. It's even weirder when your child is portraying something completely contrary to what he is. Last weekend I witnessed my son as "Juror 10," who just happens to be the angry bigot. He actually did a very good job, and I don't think I'm just being a mom. He brought tears to my eyes near the end when he had his big speech, when he went off on how "they" are and how sure, some of "them" are good, and one by one the other jurors turned their back on him and he pleaded with them to listen to him and got angrier as each one walked away until he was ordered to sit down and shut up. I hated the words coming out of his mouth. But I sure loved the body they were coming out of. I was especially touched by his bio in the program, where he named his brother as his biggest inspiration. Damn, I did a good job with this kid. My wonderful little angry bald-headed finchie.
