Extra Time
Well, it's 8:00 and I am up and dressed and sipping coffee and generally all ready to leave for church more than an hour early. Why?
What makes it even worse is that while I was doing a "quick check" of my email before I left, Finchie comes in and smugly asks me if I'd turned the clock back, and I looked at the lower right corner of my screen and I see the REAL time...and I could HEAR him smiling behind my back. Smug punk. I found this really handy site, HERE which explains that beginning in 2007, we will spring forward 2 weeks earlier and fall back 2 weeks later, thereby giving me more of the daylight saving that I treasure. I love the Fall weather, but I really hate how dark it gets so early. You can plug in any year through 2099 on that site and it will tell you the exact dates on which we mess with our clocks, assuming that Congress keeps the schedule. I see that we will Spring forward next year on April 2 and back again on my birthday. Maybe I will remember. Most likely, I will not.
