Holding Pattern
Even the digital bastard has taken a few days off from harassing me. We are in a holding pattern at 202.5.
I know the world keeps on turning and we will soon go about our daily lives. I will again begin reporting on my personal struggle. I need to focus on something other than this national pain and I need to do it soon. Others may not feel the same way and I respect that.
I hope that when I resume this diary, and that may be sometime today, it will not be seen as disrespectful or uncaring about the events over the last few days. I fly a flag every day at my home, it is at half mast. MOTH is a veteran as is my father. MOTH's 2 children are in the National Guard, and his son in law is in the Armed Forces, based in the Pentagon no less. He is, reportedly, safe. His office is, however, in the wing that was hit. MOTH's nephew is also in the Army, stationed in Germany.
So again, I don't take any of this lightly. But I feel very helpless, and so I imagine I will force myself back into the routine of writing, if for no other reason than I don't know what else to do.
