It might make a bit more sense that way, and you might stumble upon one of my better postings in case this one sorta just sucks! CLICK HERE for a RANDOM ENTRY. Wednesday, Mar. 06, 2002 - 9:01 A.M. IbeSaraHughes You see, we really have had a very mild winter. I like snow, I like BIG snows (the ones that close the schools!). I really prefer the late-winter snows, because it doesn't hang around as long...doesn't get so dirty...and we don't have such long freezing periods. You can usually figure on a March snow melting within a week of its fall. And this one has been no exception. Lovely snow. Big think fluffy flakes. Very wet. Damn near fell out of the sky in a pre-formed snowball! And true to March form, two days late, the sun was beaming down and doing its job. Lots of melting snow. Lots of falling icicles. Lots of puddles. But what I forgot (and forget every year until it is upon me) is that those puddles don't dry up so fast. And so at night, when the sun sleeps, and the temperature drops below freezing again, those puddles turn to ice. Nice smooth even glaze ice. So this morning as I did a triple lutz off of my back porch, I remembered that I should have remembered this phenomenon. Is it me, or does it always look funnier when a fat person lutzes than a thin person? Or am I just being self conscious? You know, I never hear people say "I saw this really skinny lady fall this morning." But I HAVE heard "You should have seen this fat lady go down!" Actually, I didn't fall. I recovered quite well. But it was enough that I would have have had a slight deduction in points...unless I was being judged by the Russians, in which case I was perfect! Won't you PLEASE leave your feedback here? 0 readers left their mark on this one!
