Shortened Flight
I can't even imagine what it must be like to have endured over two weeks of having a loved one...a husband, a wife, a father, a mother, a son, a daughter, a brother, a sister, an uncle, and aunt, a FRIEND...to be sitting there in what should be the easy part, knowing they're coming home. To be watching the television screens straining for a glimpse of the reflected light from the nose of the shuttle...to know that in a few minutes their loved one will be back on the ground. And in what we have all come to (falsely) believe is the easiest part, the landing, is imminent, suddenly the television screen shows this:
NOT a good morning in Texas. Not a good morning in America.
