SNOW DAY!!!
So can I just tell you that NO ONE enjoys a snow day more than a teacher? WOOHOO! And can I also tell you that here in Chicagoland we have become total snow pussies! Ok, today we might get up to 8 inches and that's a lot of snow....FINALLY! Don't get me wrong, I hate the freaking white crap, but honestly, it's embarrassing to see the glaring headlines and hear the ominous news reports of "CHICAGO WINTER STORM WATCH COVERAGE" when we get like 1/2 inch!
I think what happened is that we purchased all of this really expensive weather disaster graphic stuff and feel the need to use it no matter what. They roll out the Accuweather Vans and interview the man on the street as he wipes a slight dusting of powder off his windshield while the east coast is sitting under 16 FEET of the stuff. SERIOUSLY! We look like fools.
I don't what the hell is happening down in Mexico, but I found the picture below on line. It is taken from inside someone's house. It's kind of dark but that's snow against the windows! And we think WE have it bad!
