Look, It's a Bird!

Just a quick update to let you all know that my dad's cape was merely a bit frayed, and that the mending has begun and I have every belief that he will be up and air bound in no time.

He had his angiogram yesterday, and they did find a partial blockage on which they performed an angioplasty and inserted a stint to keep it open. I guess it was a rather nasty and resistant blockage, of course coming from Superman what more could they expect? What they DIDN'T expect was the news around his right coronary artery. It had not one but TWO nearly 100% blockages in it. However, it was a very old blockage. Old. The Dr. said it may have been going on for....decades. And all this time he thought he had a gall bladder that acted up. Anyway, while that was surprising, even more so was the fact that they were not going to do anything about it. It appears as though my Superman's body, at some point, had created its own bypass! While not unheard of, certainly not a common occurrence. In fact, the Dr. said very few bodies have the ability to do this and they are experimenting with drugs to make bodies able to do this. He'll be home some time today I believe.

Baby sister cracked wise about how this was dad's way of saving money (which is not all together out of the question). I prefer to believe that Clark's body just grew the vessels it needed, just as one would expect from Superman.
