Goin' Bananas


If there is one flavor I cannot get enough of, it's got to be banana. I love it. I love the real things, and I love all things thus flavored. Some things aren't that way. I love cinnamon, yet candies and gums that are "cinnamon flavored" are like fire balls. What gives? Watermelon happens to be my all time favorite fruit. nd I want to vomit every time I eat anything watermelon flavored. What the hell. Apparently wherever they make that flavoring, they don't know what a watermelon tastes like. And coffee flavored things may or may not taste like coffee. I wouldn't know. I like my coffee one way and one way only. Hot, in a cup and tan. Not cold, not sweet, not solid.

But give me a banana popsicle, banana ice cream, banana toffee, banana yogurt. I flavor my oatmeal with bananas and if I don't have any in the house, I have those tiny jars of banana baby food for it. And yesterday at Mejer's I found banana SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER! Honest to God. The biggest problem I have is that when I'm showering, I get hungry, it smells so tasty!

Speaking of Mejer's, I spent 4 hours shopping there with BEAST and spent $425 in the process. I find that buying fresh, healthy and low fat foods is very costly. It's also very time consuming to try and read all of the labels. Add to that the fact that the rest of the fam isn't dieting and prefers the food with flavor. So it was a major ordeal, but one that should get easier (I hope) as time goes on. I stocked up on a lot of low point foods that will help with my urges for snackage.

I had Chinese food this weekend. I had 4 pieces of sweet and sour chicken and a cup of chicken fried rice on Saturday and LORDY it was good. I had nothing else that whole day. And I went out for brunch with MOTH and his sister Fannie and her hubby. I was pretty good. I calculated on the high end that I consumed 18 points. So I had a yogurt for dinner/supper and so I know I didn't use all of my points. Better to be safe than sorry. It must be working. 10 pounds off in 2 weeks. I know that's almost all water weight. But at least it's not 10 pounds ON! I figure that maybe by Christmas I'll be close to my goal. But for now, I just have to concentrate on making it through each day with at least one point to bank.

By the way, get it? That's a banana milk shake up there at the top. I kill me.
