OW!
You know, some weeks are just plain bitches from Day one.
Sunday: Went to the hospital lab prior to eating for all the blood work, including "anti-thyroid antibodies." All I can say on a positive note is that she didn't miss my vein. Boy didn't she. No, she went straight through it, leaving the mark shown above. That picture was taken on Tuesday.
Monday: Got punch very hard right in the left boob. I did not hit her back, but I did hand her off to another staff member while I excused myself to cry.
Tuesday: Hand scratched open, knuckles bloody. At that point, I was wishing I had bloodied them giving him a sound beating, but I took no action, in fact I couldn't really even hand him off. I didn't cry. The same student later that day took a flying leap at Ally and head butted her right in the nose. I assisted her in the immediate hand-off and got her ice right away, so she didn't get a black eye.
Thursday: Took MOTH to the Dr. so he could get a shot of cortisone injected RIGHT INTO HIS HEEL (bone spur)! Needless to say, I did not, I could not, accompany him into the room for the procedure. And the numbing crap just wore off so he's in a heaping amount of pain right now.
Tomorrow is Friday, and it couldn't come soon enough.
